Job summary

MatchaTalent is assisting a Indonesian construction and engineering company to hire a seasoned Quantity Surveyor for cost estimation and financial control across projects in Karawang and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include BOQ preparation, budgeting, tender pricing, contract valuation, progress payments, variation orders, and ensuring profitability through rigorous cost tracking and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, procurement, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or cost control in construction.
• Hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, budgeting, tender pricing, and cost estimation.
• Experience in contract valuation, progress payments, variation orders, and final settlements.
• Ability to interpret drawings and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
• Strong knowledge of quantity measurement, cost estimation, and BOQ preparation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with Glodon, Luban; BIM take-offs a plus.
• Strong numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, cost awareness, and attention to detail.
• Business English proficiency; Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and verify quantities for architectural, structural, steel, and MEP works and prepare accurate BOQ.
• Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and tender quotations.
• Review contract provisions related to quantities, unit prices, payment terms, and settlements with cost registers.
• Identify cost deviations and recommend cost control measures.
• Prepare progress payment applications and coordinate with owners, contractors, and auditors.
• Manage documentation for design changes, site instructions, and variation orders.
• Estimate material requirements and coordinate with procurement for cost-effective purchasing.
• Collaborate with BIM teams to verify model quantities and reconcile with budgets.
