About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our team at our Karawang mill. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet the stringent quality standards required by our customers and regulatory bodies. As Quality Control Manager, you will oversee all quality assurance and control activities across our manufacturing operations, serving as a key strategic partner in maintaining our reputation for excellence and driving continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Key responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures and standards across all manufacturing processes
Oversee the daily operations of the quality control team, including testing, inspection and monitoring of products at various production stages
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with international quality standards and regulatory requirements
Analyse quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement
Manage non-conformance reporting and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues
Collaborate with production, operations and engineering teams to address quality concerns and optimise manufacturing processes
Maintain detailed quality documentation, records and reports for internal and external stakeholder reporting
Lead training and development programmes for quality control personnel to ensure consistent application of quality standards
Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality specifications and product performance
Monitor and evaluate quality control equipment and laboratory instrumentation to ensure accuracy and calibration compliance
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in quality assurance and quality control, preferably within pulp, paper or manufacturing industries
Proven track record of managing quality control teams and implementing effective quality management systems
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other relevant international quality and environmental standards
Experience with quality management software and laboratory information systems
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are an advantage
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage cross-functional teams
Knowledge of pulp and paper manufacturing processes is highly desirable
Willing to be based in Karawang, West Java
