Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our software testing team. You will design test plans, execute manual and automated tests across web, mobile, API, and systems integration, and participate in release decisions.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in IT/CS, 2+ years in QA, hands-on Katalon experience, and strong skills in Postman, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and SQL.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in QA/Software Testing or similar role.
• Mandatory experience in Non-Retail Banking or Insurance projects.
• Hands-on automation testing with Katalon.
• Experience in Web, Mobile, API, and system integration testing.
• Strong knowledge of STLC, Agile/Scrum, QA methodologies.
• API testing using Postman/SoapUI.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence for test management and defect tracking.
• Azure DevOps Test Plans and CI/CD pipelines exposure.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Familiarity with Git, Linux, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to identify test scenarios and risks.
• Create test plans, strategies, and structured test cases.
• Perform manual testing across web, mobile, API, and system integration.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Katalon and related tools.
• Perform API testing with Postman/SoapUI including data validation.
• Execute performance testing with JMeter and analyze results.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, POs to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Maintain test documentation and traceability.
• Prepare test reports to support release decisions.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and automation coverage.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon and other relevant automation tools.
• Perform API testing using Postman and SoapUI, including request, response, status code, and data validation.
• Execute performance testing using JMeter and analyze the test results.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, including clear reproduction steps and test evidence.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Maintain test documentation and traceability using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• Prepare test reports and support release decisions based on test results and defect status.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test automation coverage, and overall software quality.
