Job summary

VLink Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to drive manual and automated testing across web, mobile, API, and system integration environments. You will design test plans, create structured test cases, and validate requirements and acceptance criteria.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality software releases. The candidate should have 2+ years of QA experience, hands-on Katalon automation, API testing expertise, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in QA/Software Testing roles.
• Experience in Non-Retail Banking or Insurance projects is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Katalon for automation testing.
• Testing across Web, Mobile, API, and system integration.
• Strong understanding of STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with Postman and SoapUI for API testing.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for test management and defect tracking.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans and CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Strong test design, defect lifecycle, severity, and priority understanding.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios and risks.
• Create test plans, strategies, and structured test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform manual testing across web, mobile, API, and system integration (functional, SIT, UAT, regression, post-deployment).
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon and other tools.
• Perform API testing using Postman and SoapUI (requests, responses, status codes, data validation).
• Execute performance testing using JMeter and analyze results.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira with clear repro steps and evidence.
• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, POs, and stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Maintain test documentation and traceability using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• Prepare test reports to support release decisions.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and test automation coverage.
