Job summary

Youtap is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality of our software products through comprehensive testing and analysis. You will develop and execute test plans, identify and report bugs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards.

The role emphasizes automation, non-functional testing, and driving CI/CD testing in cloud environments using Azure DevOps or similar, with strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, focusing on web and mobile applications.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience.
• Exposure to app cloud testing environments.
• API automation experience with RESTAssured, Karate, and Postman.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter; Jira familiarity.
• Technical troubleshooting including log analysis and data analysis.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong collaboration and English communication skills; ability to meet deadlines.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent preferred; experience in financial/telecom products.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through

comprehensive testing and analysis. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute test plans (Functional & Non-functional), identify and report bugs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. In addition, ensure

comprehensive test coverage & identifies potential issues. Furthermore driving automated testing, non-functional testing to ensure high-quality software.

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and test data aligned with project goals.
• Oversee the execution of test cases across various testing types, monitor test progress, identify defects, and track test coverage, and generate comprehensive test reports and metrics to assess software quality.
• Design, develop, maintain, and evolve optimal test automation solutions in the areas of App, Web, or API
• Triage and prioritize defects based on severity and impact, track defect lifecycle and coordinate with development teams for resolution, analyze defect trends to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Drive automation initiatives and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and clients, manage expectations and address concerns related to testing activities, provide regular updates on test progress and quality status.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, focusing on web and mobile applications.

2+ years of experience in automation test.

Experience in API automation using tools like RESTAssured, Karate, and Postman.

Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or similar.

Experience in Jira.

Technical troubleshooting, including log file analysis and basic data analysis.

Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, facilitating efficient testing in cloud environments.

Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to engage in internal and external technical discussions.

Great communication skills in the English language, with a good command of verbal and written.

Ability to work under competing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

ISTQB foundation testing certification or equivalent.

Previous experience in financial service or telecommunication products.
