Job summary

Sociolla is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in Indonesia to join the QA team. You will perform end-to-end testing on web and mobile apps, design API tests, validate data integrity, and help raise product quality through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of QA experience, knowledge of automation tools such as Playwright/Selenium/Cypress/Appium, and a foundational understanding of performance testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Has 1–3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance within the technology industry.
• Strong experience in functional testing for web and mobile applications (Android & iOS), including regression, sanity, end-to-end, and release validation testing.
• Solid knowledge of API testing and database validation, with the ability to design and execute test cases and validate data integrity and backend workflows.
• Familiarity with QA automation and scripting, with exposure to tools/frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium; basic performance testing knowledge (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional testing for web and mobile applications (Android & iOS).
• Design, execute, and maintain API test cases (manual and automated).
• Conduct database testing to validate data integrity and backend workflows.
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and test strategies for new and existing features.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, and Design teams to ensure quality standards are met.
• Execute regression, sanity, and release validation testing.
• Perform production validation and monitoring, including log analysis and issue investigation.
• Contribute to automation efforts (Playwright/Cypress/Appium or similar frameworks).
• Assist in performance testing and analysis (basic level or with tools like JMeter – plus).
• Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and efficiency.
• Proactively identify gaps, risks, and suggest improvements in product quality.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming, Retrospective).
