This role involves defining and driving the automation roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals, designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for desktop and web applications.

Key responsibilities

Define and drive the automation roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for desktop and web applications

Implement best practices for automation testing, ensuring reusability, scalability, and maintainability of test scripts

Review, optimize, and enhance existing automated test suites to improve reliability and coverage

Continuously improve automation testing processes, introducing new tools and methodologies as necessary

Execute and analyse automated tests, providing detailed reports on test results and defect tracking

Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline testing processes

Manage and maintain test environments and related tools

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members as automation adoption expands

Support the team in improving overall testing practices across both manual and automated efforts

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

Minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance, with strong focus on automation testing

Minimum of 3 years QA Web Automation Expertise

Minimum of 2 years QA Desktop Automation Expertise

Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes, familiarity with performance testing and security testing tools

Experience with desktop automation tools (e.g., TestComplete or equivalent)

Experience with web automation tools (e.g. Playwright or Selenium)

Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

Proficiency in Python (preferred) or other programming languages used for automation (e.g. Java, C#)

Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
