Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd seeks a QA Engineer with 3+ years of manual and automated testing experience for web services and mobile apps. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to understand requirements and own test plans from design through execution.

You will replicate production bugs on staging, help troubleshoot with urgency, and contribute to QA best practices, test case reviews, and automation suite development using scripting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• 3+ years of manual and automated testing of web services and mobile apps.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and CS fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of software testing best practices.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with focus on product quality.
• Experience with MySQL and scripting tools.
• Intermediate experience writing automation suites in any programming language.
• Good understanding of HTTP, Web Services, OAuth, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with Git.
• Good communication and detail orientation.

• Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to understand product requirements and design/execute test plans with complete ownership.
• Replicate bugs reported in production on the staging environment and help troubleshoot and resolve them with urgency.
• Help define, drive, and implement QA best practices and processes.
• Review and provide feedback on test cases created by other QA team members.
• Create test cases, determine testing time estimates, and make decisions on the most effective testing process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above.
