Job summary

PT ADARO TIRTA MANDIRI is seeking an experienced Pumping Specialist to determine field pump specifications and oversee procurement for mining projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years in dewatering and slurry pumping, and proven leadership to guide on-site teams and coordinate with stakeholders. Jakarta-based with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred).
• 10+ years in dewatering pumps and slurry pumping in mining.
• Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, operation of pumps.
• Experience with diesel engines, electric motors, and electrical systems in pumping.
• Proven leadership to supervise technical teams onsite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Proficient in English for technical docs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willing to be based in Jakarta with travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Determine pump specifications for field operating conditions.

Job description

• Determine pump specifications that are suitable for field operating conditions.
• Manage the procurement process for pumps and related equipment, covering technical evaluations, vendor selection, bid comparisons, and to ensure that all equipment meets the defined project specifications.
• Provide technical support to the Operations and Maintenance teams, including troubleshooting of pump issues, root cause analysis, and the recommendation of corrective actions (repair, refurbishment, or replacement).
• Review and recommend improvements to pumping systems to enhance operational efficiency, equipment lifespan and maintenance effectiveness within mining environments.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in dewatering pumps and slurry pumping systems, with a proven track record in mining
• Deep mastery of troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of various types of pumps
• Proven hands-on knowledge and experience in handling diesel engines, electric motors, and electrical/electrical systems integrated with pumping equipment
• Strong leadership skills – capable of leading technical teams, making critical on-site decisions, and coordinating work effectively
• Professional communication skills – both verbal and written – to interact with various internal and external stakeholders
• Proficient in English (active, both spoken and written) for technical documentation and reporting.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for report generation, presentations, and data analysis
• Willing to be placed based in Jakarta with travel/mobilize to project sites when required.
