Job summary

Johnson Controls in Indonesia is seeking a Proposal Specialist to lead the Building Management System (BMS) and Security System pre-sales engineering team, driving on-time delivery of high-quality design and proposals.

You will work closely with the sales team to manage tenders, coordinate with GCoE India, review scopes and BOQs, and support cost optimization to win key projects in Indonesia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in estimation, design and costing for BMS and Security systems.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BMS and Security pre-sales engineering team to support growth in Indonesia.
• Manage tenders, addendums, and queries with sales and customers.
• Coordinate with Global Center of Excellence (GCoE) India for on-time delivery.
• Review scope, BOQ, risk log, and costing with the sales team.
• Support procurement with subcontractor quotes and cost optimization.
• Coordinate tender presentations and pre-bid meetings as needed.
• Assist sales in customer meetings and technical discussions.

What You Will Do:

As Proposal Specialist, you will lead the Building Management System (BMS) and Security System pre-sales engineering team supporting growth of the Controls sales in Indonesia with on time delivery of high quality and cost effective design and proposals. Also support sales for customer engagement, technical presentations and meetings.

How You Will Do It:

• Work closely with sales team in managing new tenders, tender addendums and tender queries & clarifications, tender deadlines and schedules from customers.
• Plan, implement and manage activities with Global Center of Excellent (GCoE) India team for the on-time delivery and cost-effective BAS and Security sale proposals.
• Review on scope of work, point schedule, BOQ, risk log and costing sheet delivered by GCoE India team and Sale team if required.
• Amend cost sheeting if further cost optimization can be done through local products/value engineering.
• Go through the solution and costing during local pre-bid meetings with the sales/project/procurement team. Propose alternative solutions if required during pre-bid meetings.
• Support procurement in discussion with subcon on BOQ and subcon work to help get best quotes from subcon.
• Follow up on tender addendum/corrigendum/clarifications with GCoE India to revise the deliverables to sales team.
• Work with GCoE India to support sales team on tender presentation if required. Provide scope of work details to the project team when the job is secured by the sales team.
• Support sales teams in customer meetings, technical discussions, and presentations.
