Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a Project Quality Lead to ensure quality excellence across the project lifecycle. You will drive QMS implementation, coordinate audits, and lead customer-facing quality interfaces to ensure compliance and delivery success.

The role requires strong ISO 9001 knowledge, a background in EPC environments, and hands-on QA/QC leadership across construction, installation, and handover activities. Excellent English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction project environment in large organizations.
• ISO 9001 knowledge; lead auditor certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree minimum; engineering/scientific master's preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management principles including risk management.
• Experience with Quality Plans, Master Test Plans, ITPs, inspections, test procedures, punch lists, and COPQ processes.
• Familiarity with 8D, RCA, PDCA, 5 Why, Lean Six Sigma, and FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
• Participate in project kick-offs, stage gates, and close-out reviews.
• Act as primary customer interface for project quality matters and ensure contractual compliance.
• Drive a strong quality culture across project teams with QA/QC practices.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project quality audits per requirements.
• Manage and report quality KPIs, NCRs, CCRPs, COPQ, and customer feedback.
• Oversee site quality activities including training, document validation, and ITPs.
• Verify quality compliance during construction, installation, commissioning, and handover.
