Hitachi Energy is seeking a senior Quality Manager to lead the Project Quality Management System and drive quality assurance across all project phases in our Jakarta operations. You will interface with customers on quality matters, ensure compliance with standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
The role requires extensive experience in engineering/procurement/construction environments, strong ISO 9001 knowledge, and solid proficiency with quality documentation and audits.
Responsible for ensuring project quality excellence throughout the project lifecycle by leading quality management, assurance, and control activities, driving compliance with customer and Hitachi Energy standards, managing quality performance, and supporting successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System (QMS), including Project Quality Plans and project-specific quality documentation.
Participate in project kick-off, stage gate, and close-out reviews, ensuring quality requirements, lessons learned, and mitigation actions are effectively managed.
Act as the primary customer interface for project quality matters, addressing quality issues and ensuring contractual compliance.
Drive a strong quality culture, promoting quality assurance, quality control, continuous improvement, and best practices across project teams.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor project quality audits in line with customer and Hitachi Energy requirements.
Manage and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs), including NCRs, CCRPs, COPQ, customer satisfaction metrics, and lessons learned.
Ensure effective non-conformance management, supporting timely resolution of NCRs and adherence to quality processes and procedures.
Oversee site quality activities, including personnel training, document validation, subcontractor quality alignment, and implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Verify quality compliance throughout construction, installation, commissioning, and project handover, ensuring contractual documentation and customer deliverables are completed successfully.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction project-based environment within large and complex organizations; experience in the power, energy, renewable, or data center sectors is preferred, with 10 years of experience considered an advantage.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards; lead auditor certification is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree as a minimum requirement; an engineering or scientific master’s degree is preferred.
Good understanding of project management principles, including risk management.
Experience with Project Quality Plans, Master Test Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, inspections, test procedures, punch lists, mechanical completion, lessons learned, COPQ, and customer feedback or T-NPS processes.
Good knowledge of quality and problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, RCA, PDCA, 5 Why analysis, Lean Six Sigma, FMEA, and related tools.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings is preferred.
Excellent written and spoken English skills; additional language capability is an advantage.
Knowledge of Salesforce, customer feedback systems, and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
