Job summary

PT. MITRA KARYA SARANA (MKS), a leading EPC company in Batam, is seeking a passionate Project Manager to lead a Data Center Steel Structure Project in Batam.

The role requires strong background in civil/structural disciplines and overseas client interactions. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, coordinating teams and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Ir.) qualification preferred; IPP or IPM from LSKI advantageous.
• 3+ years in project construction management, steel construction, and EPC.
• Strong knowledge of structural and civil construction; reading technical drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from planning through delivery.
• Control scope, schedule, budget, quality, and performance targets.
• Coordinate multiple teams, contractors, sub-contractors, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, methods and contractual requirements.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions; manage costs and progress.

Job description

PT. MITRA KARYA SARANA (MKS) a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company based in Kabil - Batam, is seeking passionate, experienced, and talented professionals to join our Project Management team for a Data Center Steel Structure Project in Batam.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/ Architectural Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Professional Engineer (Ir.) qualification and Certified as Insinyur Profesional Pratama (IPP) or Insinyur Profesional Pratama Madya (IPM) from LSKI.

More than 3 years of experience in Project Construction Management, Steel Construction, and EPC.

Strong knowledge of structural and civil construction.

Proficient in construction methods, technical proposal, scheduling, cost control, and risk management.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Excellent English communication skills for presentations, meetings, and interaction with Overseas Customers/Clients.

Proficient in project/engineering software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, or ESAB/ TEKLA/ SAP2000 and equivalent.

Relevant certifications such as SKA, Project Management, or Construction HSE/ K3 will be an advantage.

Willing to mobilize to project sites as required by the project.

Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee overall project execution, from planning through to project delivery.

Establish and control project scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and performance targets.

Coordinate project teams, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.

Ensure all project activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, work methods, and contractual requirements.

Identify, assess, and manage project risks, and resolve issues that may affect project objectives.

Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and resource utilization, and implement corrective actions to address deviations.

Handle technical and non-technical discussions and meetings with overseas clients in English, as required.

Ensure the availability and adequacy of manpower in accordance with project requirements to support optimal work execution and achieve project targets.

Ensure compliance with HSE/K3 requirements, quality standards, and applicable construction regulations throughout project execution.

Prepare and present project progress reports to Management and ensure the achievement of project objectives.
