Job summary

PT. Dok Warisan Pertama in Batam seeks a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of ship repair projects, ensuring timely, quality completion. You will assist in repair specs, evaluate technical requirements, monitor progress, and liaise with production teams, vendors and clients.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and Class standards, with involvement in commissioning, sea trials, and handover documentation.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' experience in project management for ship repair/newbuilding/conversion.
Good spoken and written English; Bahasa Indonesia/Malay preferable.
Computer literate in Word, Excel, Project and AutoCAD.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Experience with costing, budgeting, WBS, planning, forecasting and scheduling.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager in monitoring daily progress and timely execution of work scopes.
Coordinate with design, procurement and production teams to resolve on-site issues.
Review drawings, specifications, and ensure compliance with project standards.
Supervise subcontractors and verify alignment with requirements and quality standards.
Prepare and update progress reports, inspection records and punch lists.
Liaise with classification societies and owners during inspections and testing.
Ensure safety and environmental procedures are followed at site.
Participate in commissioning, sea trials, and documentation handover.
