Job summary

PT Marcopolo Shipyard in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, is seeking a Project Superintendent to oversee construction projects on site. You will coordinate activities, manage budgets, ensure quality and safety, and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver ship repair or conversion projects on time and within scope.

The role requires 3+ years in shipyard project management, strong technical knowledge of construction processes, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a project management or superintendent role in shipyard.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time, within budget and quality.
• Proficient in PM software for scheduling, budgeting and reporting.
• Relevant PM or construction management qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on site, including scheduling and quality control.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders for effective communication.
• Develop and implement project plans, monitor progress and address issues or risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety protocols and company policies.
• Lead and motivate the project team, providing guidance and support.
• Provide regular updates on project status, budget and performance.
• Manage ship repair or conversion projects.
• Liaise with owner representative and offshore teams.
• Oversee overall project coordination and direction.
• Ensure project alignment with ship repair PM system.
