Job summary

PaxOcean Batam Yard seeks a Project Planner to support planning and scheduling for New Building, Conversion and Ship Repair projects. You will assist the Planning Manager, prepare resource plans, and monitor progress across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Requirements include a Diploma or Bachelor's in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, 2+ years in shipbuilding or ship repair, and proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, MS Office and AutoCAD; fluency in English

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipbuilding or ship repair.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, and resource planning within a shipyard.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Good understanding of marine engineering terminology.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced shipyard environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Planning Manager with daily tender planning and scheduling for New Building, Conversion and Ship Repair projects.
• Prepare and record overall resource plans on the project execution.
• Monitor engineering drawings, procurement, construction and commissioning plans to ensure schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Trades leads, Commercial, and Construction teams on planning and monitoring.
• Raise planning or scheduling risks of delays early and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate.
• Follow Safety Rules and Environmental Policy by the yard.
• Assist yard level planning and resource allocation.
• Record yard level resources plan.
• Raise the risk of operational activity and pro-actively collaborate with stakeholder to overcome.

• Formulizing and Monitor comprehensive Project or Operational Plan of PaxOcean Batam Yard
• Assisting to develop planning and scheduling for all enquiries purpose of New Building, Conversion, and Ship Repair projects.

Project Planning Section

• Assisting Planning Manager on the planning and scheduling on tender query of New Building, Conversion, and Ship Repair Project in daily basis,
• Prepare and recording overall resource plan on the project execution,
• Monitor all the engineering drawings, procurement/purchasing, construction, commissioning plans to ensure that the planned progress is implemented for his/her assigned project
• Work together and maintain proactive communication with Project Managers, Trades lead, Commercial section, Construction/Production, in matter of planning, scheduling and monitoring,
• To raise the planning or scheduling issue of risk of delays earliest as possible, and pro-actively collaborate with stakeholder to overcome,
• To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set refer to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy by the yard.
