Job summary

Bangun Mecha Solusindo is seeking a Project Control Engineer to manage EPC site schedules, monitor progress, and control costs. You will use Primavera P6 or MS Project to develop schedules, monitor progress, and report on performance.

The role requires strong EVM knowledge (SPI, CPI, CV, SV) and advanced Excel skills, with coordination across engineering, procurement, construction, and QA/QC disciplines on a Vale Soroako site, on a 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster.

Qualifications

• Minimum S1 degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related engineering discipline).
• Minimum 2 years experience as Project Control Engineer/Planner, or minimum 1 completed medium to large-scale EPC/construction project.
• Proficiency in project schedule development and management using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Understanding of WBS, CPM, and S-Curve.
• Knowledge of basic cost control: budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, variance analysis.
• Mastery of Earned Value Management (EVM): SPI, CPI, CV, SV.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis formulas.
• Understanding of EPC contract documents related to milestones, deliverables, and payment terms.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Monitor and report progress including weighted progress, earned value, and physical progress versus plan.
• Perform cost control activities including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology including SPI, CPI, CV, and SV calculations.
• Prepare project reports including weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, and presentations to management and clients.
• Conduct delay analysis and propose corrective action and recovery plans.
• Maintain project documentation including progress curves, manpower histograms, and material tracking.
• Coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, and QA/QC disciplines.
• Perform advanced data analysis using MS Excel and MS Office tools.
