Job summary

PZ Cussons is seeking a Production Superintendent in Indonesia to lead a key manufacturing operation, ensuring safe, efficient production and top quality. You will drive operational excellence, manage daily activities, and develop high-performing teams.

The role emphasizes Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, RCA, and strong collaboration with Maintenance, Planning, Quality, and Engineering to deliver reliable output and meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Proven experience in manufacturing or production operations with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001/K3 standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and team management skills.
• Results-oriented with the ability to plan, organize, and drive execution effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production planning and execution to meet the production plan.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting performance; optimize resources.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM initiatives to improve productivity.
• Ensure product quality and work with Quality team on non-conformances.
• Promote safety and compliance with SHE standards; participate in investigations.
• Coach and develop production teams; manage workforce planning and performance reviews.
• Prepare production reports and coordinate with Maintenance, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Production Planning & Execution

• Manage and supervise daily production activities in line with the production plan.
• Ensure production output targets are achieved in accordance with company standards.
• Optimize the use of manpower, materials, machinery, and production time.
• Identify and resolve issues that may impact production performance.

Operational Excellence

• Implement initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Analyze downtime, production losses, and process bottlenecks.
• Drive continuous improvement programs, including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM.

Quality Management

• Ensure all products meet established quality standards.
• Work closely with the Quality team to address non-conformances.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

• Ensure all production activities comply with company safety standards and regulations.
• Promote and monitor safe working practices across the production area.
• Participate in incident investigations and improvement initiatives.

Leadership & People Management

• Lead and supervise production teams to achieve departmental objectives.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team capability and performance.
• Manage workforce planning, performance reviews, and employee discipline.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor production KPIs and recommend improvement actions.
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering teams.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
