Job summary

PZ Cussons Indonesia is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead daily production, drive output through optimization of manpower, materials, and machinery, and champion lean initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, a background in chemical engineering or chemistry, and proven experience in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities in line with the production plan.
• Achieve production output targets per standards and optimize resources.
• Lead lean initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM) to improve efficiency.
• Ensure products meet quality standards in collaboration with Quality team.
• Promote safety and regulatory compliance across the plant.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Production Planning & Execution

• Manage and supervise daily production activities in line with the production plan.
• Ensure production output targets are achieved in accordance with company standards.
• Optimize the use of manpower, materials, machinery, and production time.
• Identify and resolve issues that may impact production performance.

Operational Excellence

• Implement initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Analyze downtime, production losses, and process bottlenecks.
• Drive continuous improvement programs, including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM.

Quality Management

• Ensure all products meet established quality standards.
• Work closely with the Quality team to address non-conformances.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

• Ensure all production activities comply with company safety standards and regulations.
• Promote and monitor safe working practices across the production area.
• Participate in incident investigations and improvement initiatives.

Leadership & People Management

• Lead and supervise production teams to achieve departmental objectives.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team capability and performance.
• Manage workforce planning, performance reviews, and employee discipline.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor production KPIs and recommend improvement actions.
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering teams.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Proven experience in manufacturing or production operations, including leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001/K3 standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and team management skills.
• Results-oriented with the ability to plan, organize, and drive execution effectively.
