Job summary

Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada in Indonesia seeks an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead product development for life insurance initiatives. You will drive market research, pricing considerations, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with distribution and marketing teams.

The role requires a strong background in life insurance products, stakeholder management, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years in life insurance, including at least 2 years in product development/management/marketing.
• Hold a valid Certificate of Life Insurance (CLI) or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products, customer needs, and market dynamics.
• Proficient in market research and translating insights into product strategies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all product initiatives are delivered based on product timeline and marketing material preparation.
• Propose discussions for new product initiatives regarding propositions and marketing aspects.
• Lead Product Development Governance meetings with related parties.
• Prepare materials for discussions with Distribution and Marketing Team.
• Support OJK submissions and feedback on products.
• Prepare training materials for Trainers and Operations teams.
• Lead socialization of products to stakeholders.
• Provide post-launch product performance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the life insurance industry, including at least 2 years of experience in product development, product management, or product marketing.
• Hold a valid Certificate of Life Insurance (CLI) or equivalent insurance certification
• Strong understanding of life insurance products, customer needs, and market dynamics.
• Proven knowledge of insurance product development processes, including product design, pricing considerations, regulatory requirements, and product launch activities.
• Proficient in conducting market research and translating insights into product strategies and business recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and emerging technologies, including AI-based tools, to support product innovation and decision-making.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with distribution channels, actuarial, compliance, operations, and marketing teams.
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and product approval processes in Indonesia.
