Job summary

PT KIDE INTERNATIONAL INDONESIA is seeking a Procurement Engineer to handle local procurement in Indonesia, manage supplier relationships in Jakarta and nearby areas, and coordinate with project teams on material needs for data centers, industrial facilities, and large-scale construction.

The role requires evaluating suppliers, organizing quotations, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and client standards. English proficiency is required; Chinese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as Procurement Engineer in data centers, industrial facilities, MEP projects, or large-scale construction.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian procurement contracts, VAT (PPN), PPh, invoices, and supplier settlements.
• Ability to conduct supplier inquiries, price negotiations, contract discussions, and delivery follow-ups in Bahasa Indonesia.
• Familiar with SNI, PUIL, client vendor lists, and relevant standards.
• Good English reading/writing; basic Chinese preferred.
• Proficient in evaluating suppliers' licenses, capabilities, product sources, quality records, and delivery schedules.
• Proficient in organizing quotations, reports, and evaluation recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out local procurement activities in Indonesia, including RFQs and price comparisons.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers in Jakarta and surrounding areas.
• Take primary responsibility for local procurement of cables and construction materials.
• Evaluate suppliers' licenses, capabilities, and after-sales service.
• Organize supplier quotations and assist in negotiating contracts and purchase orders.
• Verify purchased products meet project specs, SNI, PUIL, and vendor lists.
• Coordinate with Finance on payment documentation.
• Monitor production, inventory, transportation, customs clearance, and on-site delivery; propose alternatives when delays occur.
• Coordinate interface between imported materials from China and locally procured materials.
• Support engineers in material submittals, approvals, and inspections.
• Establish fast-response procurement channels for urgent purchases.
• Familiar with suppliers and logistics in Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Cikarang, and other industrial areas.
• Able to conduct supplier inquiries, price negotiations, and delivery follow-ups in Bahasa Indonesia.
• Knowledge of local brands, distributors, market prices, lead times, and payment practices in Indonesia.
• Understand Indonesian business documents (NIB, NPWP, PKP, tax invoices) and banking details.

Job description

Carry out local procurement activities in Indonesia, including RFQs, price comparisons, supplier selection, and delivery, based on the project procurement plan, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical specifications, and construction schedule.

Develop and maintain relationships with equipment and material suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, logistics providers, and professional service providers in Jakarta and surrounding areas.

Take primary responsibility for the local procurement of cables, cable trays, distribution panels, steel materials, pipes, valves, insulation materials, fire protection materials, hardware, construction tools, and temporary site facilities.

Evaluate suppliers' business licenses, supply capabilities, product sources, technical compliance, quality records, delivery schedules, and after-sales services.

Organize supplier quotations, prepare commercial comparison reports and evaluation recommendations, and assist in negotiating procurement contracts and purchase orders.

Verify that purchased products comply with project technical specifications, SNI standards, PUIL requirements, the client's approved vendor list, and applicable international standards.

Understand the basic requirements of Indonesian procurement contracts, VAT (PPN), withholding tax (PPh), invoices, and supplier settlement documents, and coordinate with the Finance Department to verify payment documentation.

Monitor production, inventory preparation, transportation, customs clearance, and on-site delivery. Propose alternative solutions promptly in the event of delays, shortages, or quality issues.

Coordinate the interface between imported materials from China and locally procured materials to avoid duplicate purchases, missing items, or specification inconsistencies.

Support engineers in material submittals, sample approvals, technical clarifications, supplier document submissions, and material receiving inspections.

Establish fast-response procurement channels for urgent purchases, small-value procurements, and emergency site repair materials.

Familiar with suppliers and logistics resources in Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Cikarang, and other major industrial areas.

Able to independently conduct supplier inquiries, price negotiations, contract discussions, and delivery follow-ups in Bahasa Indonesia.

Familiar with commonly used local brands, authorized distributors, market prices, delivery lead times, and payment practices in Indonesia.

Knowledge of common Indonesian business documents, including NIB, NPWP, PKP, tax invoices, and company banking information.

Good English reading and writing skills; basic Chinese communication skills are preferred.

Previous procurement experience in data centers, industrial facilities, MEP projects, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
