Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Tooling Technician to maintain, repair, and optimize tooling systems, RDC, creasing embossing, and related equipment to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.

The role requires a Diploma or trade certification in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die, 2–3 years in tooling maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and gauges; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or trade certification in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, or related field.
• 2–3 years experience in tooling maintenance, preferably in RDC, die-cutting, or printing environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision measuring tools.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, micrometers, calipers, dial gauges, and gap gauges.
• Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble rotary dies.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on RDC tooling and Mold.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to die-cutting and converting equipment.
• Prepare and install tooling for production runs, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
• Support operators with complex or precision setups.
• Stage tooling to minimize downtime and ensure efficient changeovers.
• Track tooling lifecycle, repairs, and documentation of changes.
• Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and conformance to specifications.
