PT Sillo Maritime Perdana Tbk is seeking an experienced Vessel Engineer to oversee maintenance, inspections, and PMS compliance on our fleet. The role requires hands-on ship technical expertise, strong documentation discipline, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and crew.
Responsibilities include conducting vessel visits, data collection, PMS verification, spare part planning, and first-level fault analysis, with a focus on safety and adherence to HSE, JSA/RA, and PTW procedures.
Holds ATT I/II certification or relevant ship technical experience
Minimum 3–5 years experience as Engineer Officer/2nd Engineer/Chief Engineer/Port Engineer/Maintenance Engineer/Offshore Vessel Technical Support
Proficient in engine room operation, PMS/CMMS, basic troubleshooting, oil/fuel/cooling water awareness, LOTO/isolation awareness, PTW/JSA/RA, basic RCA, and class/docking awareness
Capable of machinery inspection, maintenance verification, defect assessment, spare parts identification, reading manuals/drawings, and vendor coordination
Detail-oriented, disciplined in documentation, comfortable with field observation, good communication with crew, strong follow-up and problem-solving skills, and a safety mindset
Good Indonesian; able to read technical English; proficient in MS Office, CMMS/mobile apps, photo documentation, and shared drives
Conduct vessel visits to verify technical condition, manual books, nameplates, running hours, equipment list, onboard spares, actual defects, and fuel oil control
Collect asset register data (Level 1–5), equipment code, serial number, model, maker, capacity, location, manual reference, and equipment photos
Verify onboard PMS against running hours, calendar, maker’s manual, maintenance history, and actual equipment condition
Assist the Technical Superintendent in preparing maintenance forecasts, spare part requirements, and work orders for PMS due dates or technical defects
Perform first-level technical assessment of vessel defects (symptoms, possible cause, risk impact, spare parts required, manpower/vendor required, temporary mitigation)
Collect defect and close-out evidence (photos/video, job reports, measurements, test results, parameters, crew statements as needed)
Verify onboard technical spares, serviceable/unserviceable status, part numbers, compatibility, min/max stock, and reorder needs
Support technical PR processes by clarifying specifications, photos, drawings, part numbers, dimensions, and materials with Procurement/Vendor
Accompany vendors/service engineers/workshops during onboard work and ensure results are properly reported and documented
Monitor fuel system, lube oil, cooling water, engine parameters, battery health, purifiers, filters, pumps, compressors, steering, hydraulics, and critical machinery per Technical Superintendent’s direction
Ensure onboard technical work follows the SMK/SMS Manual, LOTO, JSA/RA/PTW, coordinating with HSE/DPA and vessel crew
Support CMMS data input and validation (asset code, item code, WO, defect, history, spare parts, close-out evidence)
