Job summary

Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) in Indonesia is seeking a dedicated plant breeding professional to guide and supervise staff in breeding experiments, ensuring all work follows established protocols and SOPs. The role includes regular field visits, data analysis, and timely reporting to improve trial outcomes.

The candidate should have strong leadership, field/research experience, and proficiency in English, with willingness to be based in Riau.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Plant Breeding or Agronomy.
• Bachelor’s degree considered with relevant experience.
• Experience in field/research work preferred.
• Knowledge of quantitative genetics and oil palm plantation systems is a plus.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress of plant breeding trials in designated regions.
• Regularly update trial reports.
• Analyze trial results and submit scientific reports.
• Arrange and supervise field workers to ensure SOP compliance.
• Contribute to database development to support biometry.
• Handle budgeting activities related to plant breeding trials.

• Strong leadership capabilities.

• Willing to be based in Riau.
