Job summary

Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd, with oil palm plantations in Kalimantan, is seeking committed professionals for Research & Development roles. Travel to different operating locations may be required as part of project work and field evaluations.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in Forestry, Agriculture or related fields, with at least 5 years' R&D experience in plantations, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to analyze leaf and soil data and support yield improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Soil Science, or related field.
• Min. 5 years experience handle Research & Development (RnD) in plantations.
• Advanced Skill in Microsoft Excel and Ms. PowerPoint is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing the leaf & soil analysis data and the development of suitable fertilizer mixers matching the soil conditions, enabling the increase of the yield and the oil extraction rates.
• To collect field data & effectively review field histories and advice on replanting and other development programs.
• Assist in reviewing the harvesting & agricultural practices and advice on methods to achieve higher yields at the lowest possible cost.
• To collect all relevant agronomy data, summarize them as per prescribed formats and analyze the data and investigate for any exceptions and report to the Manager Agronomy.
• The preparation of monthly progress & performance reports.
• Monitoring nursery for the group.
• Census and monitoring on general R&D.
• Field visit in replanting.
• Frequent visit in other PT.
• Carry out trial for updating current practis.
