Job description

Job Description

Job ID: MJ000317 This role sits at the intersection of execution and analysis. You will run campaigns at meaningful scale, design tests to measure their incremental impact, and translate the results into clear recommendations for how we deploy growth capital. You will not be optimizing toward vanity metrics or chasing last-click ROAS. You will be expected to interrogate the data, separate signal from noise, and build a defensible point of view on what is actually working. Deep channel expertise is welcomed but not required. What matters is analytical rigor, leadership instinct, and the ability to learn fast in a high-velocity environment. If you come from a consulting, analytics, or growth background and want to apply that thinking to performance marketing, we want to hear from you. This role carries team leadership. You will set the standard for how the work is done in your area, raise the bar for the people around you, and be accountable for their development as well as your own output. We’re evolving how this team works — sharpening how we measure and scale growth. This is a hands‑on opportunity to help shape that shift, not just run the existing playbook.

How You Will Work

You will operate with a clear scope and high accountability. We expect you to form hypotheses, test them, and update your point of view based on what the evidence shows. You will have direct access to senior leadership through regular reviews, and your analyses will inform decisions on where the company invests its growth capital. We are not looking for someone who runs the existing playbook. We are looking for someone sharp enough to question it, structured enough to test it, and credible enough to change it.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own a performance portfolio. Manage day-to-day execution and optimization of campaigns within your assigned channel and markets. Set targets, monitor pacing, and make trade‑off decisions on bids, budgets, audiences, and creatives with full ownership of outcomes.
  • Measure what matters. Design and personally run experiments (geo holdouts, A/B tests, audience splits, lift studies) to isolate the incremental contribution of your spend. Push back on attribution‑based reporting when it overstates impact, and replace assumptions with evidence wherever possible.
  • Own the platform relationships. Act as our counterpart to the platform partners in your channel. Run joint planning, negotiate early access to new products, agree test scope, and elevate issues. You will be in the room when road‑maps are set, and expected to leave with more than we came in with.
  • Work the data yourself. Pull and validate your own numbers rather than waiting on the analytics team, and translate them into narratives leadership can act on. Knowing whether a result holds up is as much of the job as producing it.
  • Improve the operating rhythm. Identify manual reporting and optimization workflows that should be automated. Partner with analytics and engineering to put better tools in your team's hands, and see those projects through — you hold the scope and the timeline, not them. Faster cycle times and cleaner data are part of the job, not an afterthought.
  • Set the standard. Review others' plans, give hard feedback well, unblock people, and build the playbooks the wider team leans on.
  • Collaborate across functions. Work with product, commercial, finance, and creative to ensure your campaigns are connected to broader business goals. Bring channel‑level insights into cross‑functional planning conversations and translate them into language non‑marketers can use.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline — Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar. A business or marketing degree with a strong quantitative and commercial track record is equally welcome.
  • 5–8 years of experience in performance marketing, growth, analytics, or consulting, including direct ownership of a channel or market portfolio.
  • Demonstrated leadership. You have set direction for others — as a manager, a project lead, or the person others deferred to — and can describe how you raised the standard around you rather than only your own output.
  • Resourceful. You look for better ways to do the work rather than settling for how it is done today — a report that used to take a day, a process nobody wanted to own, a tool you taught yourself because waiting was slower.
  • Strong analytical foundation. Comfortable with experiment design (A/B tests, holdouts, lift studies) and statistical reasoning, not just dashboard reading.
  • Hands‑on experience setting up and running your own A/B tests — not just interpreting results handed to you by an analytics team.
  • Able to get your own data and sanity‑check it. Comfort with SQL helps; judgement on whether the answer holds up matters more.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a point of view from data and defend it, not just report metrics.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and fast iteration. You'll be shaping the process as much as executing it.
  • Strong written and verbal communication — able to translate technical analysis into decisions non‑technical stakeholders can act on.
  • Prior experience with performance marketing channels (Google, Meta, TikTok, programmatic) is a plus.
  • APAC exposure preferred with emphasis on Southeast Asia. Experience running more than one market is a plus.
