Bundamedik Healthcare System is seeking an Operating Theater Nurse in Surabaya to prepare the operating room, instruments, and equipment and to assist surgeons during procedures with strict aseptic technique.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in Nursing (Ners), have at least 2 years OT experience, valid STR and BTCLS, and be willing to be placed in Surabaya.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Ners) required.
• At least 2 years of operating theater experience.
• Active Nursing Registration Certificate (STR) required.
• Valid BTCLS certification required.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques and OR safety protocols.
• Detail-oriented, responsive and patient-oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, medical equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and medical personnel during procedures with sterile instruments and aseptic technique.
• Perform preoperative patient preparation and verify patient identity and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Monitor and maintain sterility of the OR environment, instruments and equipment.
• Monitor patients during perioperative care and coordinate with the surgical team.
• Perform postoperative handover and coordinate transfers to recovery or other units.

An Operating Theater Nurse role based in Surabaya, responsible for preparing the operating room, surgical instruments, medical equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for surgical procedures in accordance with established standards. The role involves assisting surgeons and other medical personnel during surgical procedures, including providing sterile instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques.

Key responsibilities

Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, medical equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for surgical procedures in accordance with established standards

Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during surgical procedures, including providing sterile instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques

Perform preoperative patient preparation, verify patient identity and surgical procedures, and ensure compliance with surgical safety protocols

Monitor and maintain the sterility of the operating environment, surgical instruments, and equipment to prevent surgical site infections and ensure patient safety

Monitor patients' conditions during perioperative care, collaborate with the surgical team, and respond promptly to any changes in the patient's condition within the scope of nursing practice

Perform postoperative handover, ensure proper documentation of nursing care, and coordinate patient transfers to the recovery room or other designated units

About you

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Ners) qualification

Minimum 2 years of experience in the Operating Theater (OT)

Ability to provide nursing care in accordance with applicable SOPs and standards

Active Nursing Registration Certificate (STR)

Valid BTCLS certification

Knowledgeable in surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and operating room safety protocols

Detail-oriented, responsive, and patient-oriented

Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to service excellence

Willing to be placed in Surabaya
