Job summary

Altius Hospitals Puri Indah is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our surgical team in Jakarta. The role involves preparing the OR, calibrating equipment, verifying patient identity and consent, and positioning patients safely on the table, while ensuring sterile technique throughout.

You will hand instruments, track counts, monitor vitals with the anesthesia team, manage room logistics, and document surgical notes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• ACLS/ BTCLS certification preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as Nurse OT.
• 1–2 years clinical or general nursing experience with OR/ICU exposure.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and crisis management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, check and calibrate equipment, verify patient identity/consent, and position patients safely on the table.
• Work within sterile field, hand instruments to surgeons, maintain counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Manage non-sterile zone, coordinate room logistics, monitor vital signs with anesthesia team, run safety checklists.
• Transfer patients to recovery room/ICU, document surgical notes, clean and sterilize equipment, restock supplies.
• Enforce hygiene protocols, manage biohazard/waste disposal, and adhere to NABH/JCI standards.
