- Own database backup, recovery, patching, upgrade, and migration activities to ensure resilience, continuity, and operational readiness.
- Monitor and optimize database performance through tuning, proactive health checks, and ongoing improvements across SQL, storage, and infrastructure layers.
- Manage and support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations, including Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.
- Partner with development and technology teams to design database solutions that align with application requirements, scalability needs, and platform standards.
- Strengthen database security by conducting regular assessments and implementing best practices for access control, data protection, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database incidents, maintain clear technical documentation, and provide on-call support when needed.
What You Bring

- Deep expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and core Oracle database features such as Multitenant and Data Redaction.
- Solid understanding of database performance tuning, SQL optimization, relational database concepts, and Unix shell scripting.
- Experience using database monitoring and observability tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Working knowledge of other relational and NoSQL database technologies, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Experience managing database administration workloads in cloud environments, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Advanced spoken and written English, along with strong communication and collaboration skills in diverse, fast-paced, and agile team settings.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting data warehouse platforms in fintech, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
- Exposure to automation and scripting for database operations, deployment, and monitoring improvements.
- Familiarity with incident response practices and production support in high-demand, always-on environments.
