Job summary

SG-EDTS is seeking a Data Engineer in Jakarta Pusat for a 1-year contract and on-site work. You will create and optimize SQL queries, build ad-hoc BI solutions, and monitor data quality while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires Python for data manipulation and strong SQL skills with knowledge of relational databases. Familiarity with ETL, cloud services, and data visualization tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Min. 1 year experience as Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development.
• Strong SQL knowledge and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server).
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and data warehousing.
• Cloud services knowledge (Google Cloud or AWS).
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau/Looker).
• Basic knowledge of big data frameworks (Spark/Hadoop).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.
• Team collaboration and good communication/documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize SQL queries to access and manipulate large datasets.
• Create actionable BI mechanisms (interactive reports, dashboards, alerts, scheduled email reports) using BI tools.
• Understand customer business flow.
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot data issues; be aware of important customer metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• Create various forms of actionable BI mechanism (interactive reports, dashboard, alerts, scheduled email report, etc.) using any available BI tools (e.g. Spreadsheets, Looker BI, etc.)Understand customer business flow
