Job summary

PT IT Group Indonesia is seeking an IT Solution Engineer (Database) in Kota Jakarta Barat to provide advanced database support, assist in design and deployment, and optimize performance for enterprise systems. You will handle upgrades, backups, security, and customer queries as a primary technical contact.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CS/IS and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, and major DBMS.

Job Descriptions

• Provide advance database support services at all times to ensure continuous system availability.
• Assist in design, development and implementation of database systems.
• Performs database upgrades and migrations to support IT projects.
• Optimize database systems for performance and operational efficiency.
• Perform data back-up and archival on regular basis.
• Maintain standard data recovery processes to improve recoverability time.
• Stay Updated on latest developments in database services and technologies.
• Implement security features to protect and secure database systems.
• Respond to queries related to database from customers.
• Test databases and perform bug fixes.
• Set user access server, privileges and permissions for database segments.
• Recommend solutions to improve database managements.
• Guide customer in database design and development.
• Resolve issues related to database design and managements
• Acting as single point of contact for the client communication

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or Information System or related field.
• Experience 3-5 year experienced in related field.
• Result oriented with strong problem solving abilities.

• Experienced using a variety of software and concepts.
• Understand the concept of Relational Database & No-SQL Database.
• Understand Structured Query Language.
• Understand database design and architecture.
• Understand Database NoSQL ( Mongodb, Elastic)
• Understand Database RDBMS ( Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, EDB Postgres/PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Understand Database In-Memory Database (Redis, Hazelcast, Dragonfly)
• Understand strategy to tune performance, file distribution, memory management, and tuning SQL statements.
• Install and configure Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, EDB Postgres/PostgreSQL, SQL Server
• Install and configure ELK (Elastic, Logstash , Kibana)
• Backup and restore database.
• Having knowledge about Operating System (Linux & Windows)

Must-Have Skills

• Understand the strong concept of ETL and BI Tools (Talend, Airflow/DBT, NiFi, Tableau, etc) is a plus and preferred.
• Experienced with a diverse set of data technologies.
• Understanding of Big Data knowledge is a plus and preferred.
