Job summary

OCBC Indonesia is seeking an experienced technology leader to drive the evolution of our enterprise data platform and engineering capabilities. You will design scalable, secure data services and steer cloud adoption, platform modernization, and governance across the bank.

You will mentor engineering leaders and collaborate with Architecture, Security, Risk, and Business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or related domains.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale platform or data engineering teams.
• Strong cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Hands-on in designing and operating enterprise data platforms and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and evolution of the enterprise data platform and engineering capabilities.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap for modern data platforms and cloud adoption.
• Design, operate, and optimize scalable, secure data platforms for analytics and applications.
• Build and optimize enterprise data pipelines and real-time processing capabilities.
• Drive engineering excellence with CI/CD, IaC, observability, and reliability practices.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Data, Risk, and Business stakeholders.
• Establish data quality, governance, metadata, security, and platform reliability standards.
• Ensure performance, resilience, availability, and cost optimization of platforms.
• Lead technology planning, budgeting, and resource planning for data initiatives.
• Mentor engineering leaders and build a high-performing engineering culture.

At OCBC Indonesia, we're modernizing our enterprise technology landscape to enable scalable, secure, and data-driven banking. We're looking for an experienced technology leader to drive the evolution of our enterprise data platform and engineering capabilities, enabling reliable, high-quality, and scalable data services across the organization.

Work Arrangement

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of the Bank's enterprise data platform and engineering capabilities.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap for modern data platforms, cloud adoption, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Design and operate scalable, secure, and resilient data platforms supporting enterprise applications, analytics, regulatory reporting, and digital initiatives.
• Build and optimize enterprise data pipelines, integration frameworks, and real-time data processing capabilities.
• Drive engineering excellence by implementing best practices in platform architecture, automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), observability, and operational reliability.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Application Development, Information Security, Data, Risk, and Business stakeholders to deliver enterprise technology solutions.
• Establish engineering standards for data quality, governance, metadata, security, and platform reliability.
• Ensure platform scalability, performance, resilience, availability, and cost optimization.
• Lead technology planning, vendor management, budgeting, and resource planning for enterprise data platform initiatives.
• Mentor engineering leaders and build a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture.

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Data Architecture, Big Data, or related technology domains.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale platform engineering or data engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in modern cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (preferred), AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise data platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong experience with technologies such as:
• BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar cloud data warehouses
• dbtTerraform or Infrastructure as Code
• Strong understanding of distributed data processing, ETL/ELT, real-time streaming, orchestration, and modern data architecture patterns.
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance, security, metadata management, observability, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence senior technology and business leaders.
• Proven track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing engineering teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience leading enterprise cloud migration and modernization programs.
• Familiarity with DevOps, GitOps, Platform Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms, MLOps, or enterprise AI infrastructure.
• Experience managing regional or geographically distributed engineering teams.
