Job summary

EDTS is seeking a Data Engineer to build and optimize SQL queries for ad-hoc BI needs and to automate data pipelines. You will design interactive dashboards and reports, monitor data quality, and collaborate across teams to ensure accurate analytics.

The role emphasizes hands-on SQL, Python scripting, and cloud-aware data warehousing. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 1 year of experience in data engineering, and familiarity with BI tools such as Looker or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Min. 1 year experience as Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and data warehousing; basic cloud knowledge (GCP or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Create SQL queries to deliver ad-hoc BI requirements and optimize data systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to access and manipulate large datasets.
• Create BI mechanisms (interactive reports, dashboards, alerts, scheduled emails) using available BI tools like Looker/Power BI.
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot data issues; ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• Write and optimize SQL queries to access and manipulate large datasets
• Create various forms of actionable BI mechanism (interactive reports, dashboard, alerts, scheduled email report, etc.) using any available BI tools (e.g. Spreadsheets, Looker BI, etc.)Understand customer business flow
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot data issuesAware of important customer business metricsAble to perform basic (select, join, conditions, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity

Requirements

Person We Are Looking For

• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)Basic understanding of big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop)
