Job summary

PT. Berani Merintis Sejahtera is seeking an Operational Staff to coordinate daily freight forwarding and container trucking activities, ensuring shipments and truck movements are scheduled on time and documents are complete.

You will communicate with customers, drivers, vendors, and internal teams, maintain accurate records, and support reporting and billing. A detail-oriented, team-focused candidate with a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; logistics qualifications are advantageous.
• Experience in logistics or distribution operations preferred.
• Strong record-keeping accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily container trucking and shipment activities (dispatch, pickup, delivery, return).
• Communicate schedules and requirements with customers, drivers, and vendors.
• Monitor progress, report delays, and escalate issues to supervisor.
• Prepare and check operational documents (delivery orders, gate passes, trip records).
• Ensure drivers receive accurate job details and supporting documents.
• Update shipment status in records or systems.
• Assist with cost checks, fuel, expenses, and reporting for billing.
• Maintain organized records of completed jobs and communications.
• Handle inquiries professionally and escalate complaints as needed.
• Perform other operations-related duties as assigned.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Operational Staff member to join PT. Berani Merintis Sejahtera for day-to-day coordination of freight forwarding and container trucking activities. This role helps ensure shipments and truck movements are arranged on schedule, required documents are complete, and customers, drivers, vendors, and internal teams receive timely updates.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily container trucking and shipment activities, including dispatch, pickup, delivery, and return of containers.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, shipping lines, terminals, depots, and other service providers to confirm schedules and operational requirements.
• Monitor shipment and truck progress, follow up on delays and promptly report operational issues to the supervisor.
• Prepare, check, and maintain operational documents, including delivery orders, gate passes, trip records, proof of delivery, and related shipping documents.
• Ensure drivers receive accurate job details, instructions and supporting documents before each trip.
• Update shipment and trucking status in the company's records or operational systems.
• Assist with checking trip details, fuel or operating expenses, waiting time, and other supporting information for operational reports and billing.
• Maintain organized records of completed jobs, customer instructions, incidents, and service-provider communications.
• Handle customer and vendor inquiries professionally and elevate complaints, claims, accidents, of other significant issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other operations-related duties as assigned.
