Job summary

Festo is seeking an Operational Excellence Intern for its Manisa facility to support OE and Administrative Excellence activities, contribute to SPS deployment, and help drive continuous improvement across production and support functions.

You will gain hands-on experience in process optimization, data analysis, KPI tracking, and dashboard development while collaborating with production, logistics, engineering, and quality teams; availability for at least three days a week for six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree student in Industrial Engineering or Management Engineering.
• Previous internship or project experience in manufacturing or process improvement is an advantage.
• Strong interest in Operational Excellence, Administrative Excellence, Lean Management and continuous improvement.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support Operational Excellence and Administrative Excellence activities across operations and administrative functions.
• Contribute to the implementation of Synchronized Production System (SPS).
• Support continuous improvement, process optimization and standardization projects.
• Participate in process observations, Gemba walks, workshops and structured problem-solving activities.
• Assist in analyzing operational and administrative processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Support SPS assessments, action tracking and the preparation of supporting documentation.
• Contribute to digitalization and workflow automation initiatives.
• Support KPI tracking, data analysis, performance reporting and dashboard development.
• Assist in preparing presentations, training materials, reports and management communication content.
• Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Engineering, Quality and other supporting functions.
• Take ownership of assigned improvement tasks and follow up on their implementation.

• Support Operational Excellence and Administrative Excellence (ADEX) activities across operational and administrative functions

• Bachelor's degree student in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering or a related field
• Previous internship or project experience in manufacturing, process improvement, data analysis or digitalization is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of or strong interest in Operational Excellence, Administrative Excellence, Lean Management, continuous improvement and process management
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate or other data visualization and digitalization tools is an advantage
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Proactive, curious and self-driven working approach
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Availability to work at least three days per week for a minimum period of six months
