Job summary

A leading robotic automation company in Salatiga is seeking an Automation Engineer. Responsibilities include analyzing production processes for automation, designing control systems, and testing automation systems. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Mechatronics and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial electrical systems is essential. Job Descriptions

• Analyze and improve existing production processes to identify opportunities for automation potential and industrial-grade standardization.
• Design and develop electrical and control systems including PLC, HMI, and communication networks.
• Conduct prototyping, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and standardization systems for electrical and programming components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate automation needs into technical and budgetary plans.
• Learn and support mechanical (design, manufacture & fabrication) and OOP-based software programming when required.

Requirements

• Diploma (D3) in Mechatronics, or related field (vocational graduates with relevant experience are welcome).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical and programming roles for industrial automation projects.
• Strong expertise in industrial electrical systems, PLC programming, and automation control systems.
• Proficient in reading and design electrical circuit diagrams, wiring layouts, and flowcharts.
• Understanding of software and hardware integration between mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Strong Knowledge of industrial-grade component standards (CE, UL, ISO, IEC, etc.).
• Familiarity with mechanical design (3D CAD) and OOP programming languages (C#, C++, Java, Python) is a plus.
• Experience with manual and CNC manufacturing & fabrication is a plus.
• Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving mindset.
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Willing to work in a dynamic, innovative and multidisciplinary engineering environment.
