Job summary

DDN seeks a Resident Incident Engineer to ensure availability and performance of storage infrastructure on customer/NCP environments in Indonesia. You will work closely with on-site teams, handling incident response, capacity planning and problem management for EXAScaler/Lustre, Linux, and Kubernetes workloads.

The role requires hands-on experience across DDN storage platforms, Lustre, CSI, and high-speed networking, with the ability to operate independently on-site and participate in on-call

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering/IT
• 5+ years of infrastructure/storage/operations experience
• Hands-on with enterprise storage, HPC, AI, cloud or HPC environments
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with DDN storage platforms and/or EXAScaler/Lustre
• Experience with Lustre, NFS, GPFS or other parallel/distributed file systems
• Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and day-to-day cluster operations
• Knowledge of CSI, controllers, node plugins, volume lifecycle, mounts
• Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, OS, storage, Kubernetes, networking and apps
• Willingness to participate in on-call support when required

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site operational ownership for DDN storage systems and EXAScaler/Lustre environments
• Monitor storage health, capacity, performance and alerts
• Respond to incidents and service requests per severity targets
• Lead technical triage, fault isolation and root-cause analysis
• Coordinate with customer ops, DDN Support and Engineering during major incidents
• Maintain and troubleshoot EXAScaler/Lustre file systems and storage targets
• Support Kubernetes environments consuming DDN storage including PVs and storage classes
• Configure and troubleshoot CSI drivers and Kubernetes storage components
• Investigate Kubernetes-to-storage path issues across pods, kubelet, CSI and APIs
• Perform planned maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and backups validation
• Develop runbooks, SOPs, recovery procedures and escalation guides
• Conduct health checks, capacity reviews and performance assessments
• Identify risks and opportunities for reliability improvements and automation
• Assist with capacity forecasting for storage, metadata, network and data growth
• Prepare operational reports and executive summaries
