About the role

EBER Petrochemical Group is seeking an experienced Odoo Developer to join our growing technology team on a full-time basis in South Jakarta. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, customising, and maintaining Odoo applications that drive our business operations. As an Odoo Developer, you will play a critical role in implementing enterprise resource planning solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support our strategic objectives across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customise Odoo modules and applications according to business requirements and specifications


• Design and implement new features and functionality within the Odoo framework to meet organisational needs


• Conduct thorough testing of Odoo applications to ensure quality, reliability, and optimal performance


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and system problems within Odoo environments


• Maintain and update existing Odoo implementations, ensuring system stability and smooth operations


• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions


• Document code, configurations, and system processes to ensure knowledge transfer and future maintainability


• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices


• Support the integration of Odoo with third‑party systems and applications as required


• Provide technical guidance and support to end users and internal teams regarding Odoo functionality

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an Odoo Developer with a minimum of 2–3 years of hands‑on development experience


• Strong proficiency in Python programming and object-oriented programming principles


• Demonstrable expertise in Odoo framework, including module development and customisation


• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL query writing


• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git


• Knowledge of Odoo's reporting engine and report development capabilities


• Experience with APIs and web services integration


• Strong problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)


• Experience with ERP system implementations is highly desirable


• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus
