Job summary

PT. GREEN NET INDONESIA is hiring a NOC Engineer to monitor, manage, and maintain our network infrastructure in North Jakarta. You will respond to alarms, perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate with teams to ensure uptime and service quality.

The role requires hands-on experience with network protocols, MikroTik, GPON/OLT, and network monitoring tools. A shift-based schedule is expected, with training and growth opportunities in a telecommunications environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• 2–3 years of experience as a NOC Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar at an ISP.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and routing/switching.
• Experience with MikroTik, PPPoE, VLAN, GPON/OLT, RADIUS.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG or similar.
• Willing to work in a shift system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network systems 24/7 using NOC tools and dashboards to detect anomalies.
• Respond to alarms and incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate as needed.
• Perform initial troubleshooting on access and network services (PPPoE, VLAN, GPON/OLT, RADIUS, MikroTik).
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring disruptions.
• Manage incident and problem tickets with documentation and SLAs.
• Coordinate with technical teams for maintenance and upgrades.
• Create daily/weekly/monthly network performance reports.
• Verify status of routers, switches, firewalls, and servers; perform baseline monitoring.
• Execute failover and recovery procedures for business continuity.
• Communicate network status and maintenance updates to clients.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and professional NOC Engineer (Network Operations Center Engineer) to join our team at PT. GREEN NET INDONESIA. As a NOC Engineer, you will serve as the frontline in monitoring, managing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure smooth operations and maximum uptime. This position requires solid technical expertise in network management, troubleshooting, and rapid incident response. This position is contract-based and located in North Jakarta, Greater Jakarta, with the opportunity to contribute directly to the reliability of our telecommunications and network systems.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor and oversee network systems 24/7 using NOC monitoring tools and dashboards to detect anomalies and potential issues before they affect services.

Respond quickly to alarms and incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and elevate to the relevant technical team according to applicable procedures.

Perform initial troubleshooting on access and network services, including PPPoE, VLAN, GPON/OLT, RADIUS, and MikroTik-based devices.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring disruptions.

Manage incident and problem tickets, document every activity, and ensure timely resolution according to established SLAs.

Coordinate with technical teams for scheduled network maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure configuration changes.

Create daily, weekly, and monthly network performance reports, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for optimization.

Verify the status of all network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers, and perform baseline monitoring.

Execute failover and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans run effectively.

Communicate with clients and stakeholders regarding network status, downtime, and maintenance updates.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Information Systems, or other relevant related fields.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a NOC Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar position at an ISP company. Candidates with less experience may also be considered if they demonstrate strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.

In-depth understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and routing and switching technologies.

Practical knowledge of MikroTik, PPPoE, VLAN, GPON/OLT, RADIUS, and network monitoring tools.

Experience with monitoring systems and tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, or similar enterprise monitoring tools.

Expertise in network troubleshooting and the ability to analyze problems in a systematic and methodical manner.

Knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, and security infrastructure.

Recognized technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other vendor certifications (Juniper, Mikrotik) are highly valued.

Good communication skills in Indonesian and English, and Mandarin language skills are a plus.

Experience with ticketing systems and detailed and structured technical documentation.

Willing to work in a shift system.
