Job summary

This full‑time role requires 1–3 years in network engineering, a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree, and strong TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, and routing knowledge, plus experience with FortiGate, Wireshark, and SolarWinds.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or related role.
• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in IT/CS.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP.
• Familiar with routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP.
• Experience with network monitoring tools like Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Good communication and teamwork; proactive and detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, firewall, switching, and routing environments.
• Implement network configurations per security standards.
• Monitor network performance and identify issues.
• Troubleshoot latency, connectivity, and performance problems.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and access points.
• Patch, upgrade firmware, and maintain network equipment.
• Implement ACLs, VLANs, firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and network policies.
• Review and improve network security configurations.
• Perform capacity planning based on traffic and needs.
• Create and maintain topology diagrams and configuration docs.

PT Mitra Solusi Telematika is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in South Jakarta, Jakarta. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and secure network infrastructure to support the company's growing technology needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, firewall, switching, and routing environments.
• Implement network configurations in accordance with operational requirements and security standards.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues or disruptions.
• Troubleshoot network problems including latency, connectivity issues, and performance degradation.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and access points.
• Perform patching, firmware upgrades, and regular maintenance of network equipment.
• Implement network security controls including ACLs, VLAN segmentation, firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and network policies.
• Conduct periodic reviews and improvements of network security configurations.
• Perform network capacity planning based on traffic analysis and business needs.
• Create and maintain network topology diagrams and configuration documentation.

About you

1-3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a related role.

Minimum education: Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP.

Strong knowledge of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).

Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and DNS.

Experience with firewall technologies (experience with FortiGate is a plus).

Experience using network monitoring and analysis tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
