Job summary

BW Digital Pte Limited is seeking a Connectivity Technician based in Batam, Indonesia. This full-time role blends NOC and Smart Hands in data centre connectivity, delivering 24x7 operational support, incident resolution, and on-site technical assistance to customers while maintaining service availability and accurate documentation.

The candidate will work across network and data centre operations, involving cabling, patching, equipment installation, and collaboration with local and global teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, IT, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in NOC, Data Centre, or Telecommunications support environment.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and alarm systems.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows OS.
• Experience in data centre operations and Smart Hands/Remote Hands.
• Fibre optics and structured cabling standards.
• Experience with fibre/copper cabling and patching.
• Ability to read technical documentation and report clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks, services, and logs to identify incidents in real time.
• Serve as first/second level contact for fault reporting and inquiries.
• Troubleshoot faults in transmission systems, routers/switches, servers, and related equipment.
• Coordinate provisioning and service delivery with Service Delivery Manager.
• Perform on-site support: installation, cabling, labeling, decommissioning per MOPs.
• Maintain asset inventories, cabling records, and ticketing updates.
• Escort vendor engineers and ensure security and access controls.
• Produce incident reports and shift handover notes.
