Job summary

CLOUDENGINE DIGITAL SDN. BHD. in Batam is seeking an Infrastructure/Network Engineer to participate in deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure across Indonesia, including switch/router/firewall installations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network support, data center operations, field engineering, or related technical roles.
• CCNA/HCIA/Network+ certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to communicate in English.
• Travel willingness to support project implementations and customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Participate in deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure projects.
• Assist with switch, router, firewall, and structured cabling installations.

Job description

Infrastructure/Network Engineer (Based Batam)

1. Technical Implementation & Deployment

Participate in the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure projects across Indonesia.

Assist with switch, router, firewall, and structured cabling installations.

Support network migration, equipment commissioning, connectivity testing, and project acceptance activities.

Perform on-site technical support and troubleshooting when required.

2. Server & Infrastructure Support

Perform routine server maintenance, health checks, and incident handling.

Support hardware replacement, break-fix activities, and infrastructure upgrades.

Assist with data center operations, rack-and-stack activities, cabling, and equipment installation.

3. Project Coordination

Support project planning, scheduling, documentation, and progress tracking.

Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Prepare project reports, technical documentation, and handover materials.

Work with local service providers and contractors during project execution.

Monitor work quality and ensure project requirements and timelines are met.

Support site surveys and project implementation activities.

5. Team Development

Contribute to the development of internal technical processes and best practices.

Support knowledge sharing and technical documentation to strengthen local delivery capabilities.

Requirements

Language Skills

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and able to communicate effectively in English.

Mandarin language skills are an advantage but not required.

Technical Skills

Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking technologies, including switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.

Familiarity with server hardware, IT infrastructure, or data center environments.

Experience with structured cabling, network deployment, server maintenance, or infrastructure support is an advantage.

Relevant certifications such as CCNA, HCIA, Network+, MTCNA, or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

1-3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network support, data center operations, field engineering, system deployment, or related technical roles.

Fresh graduates with strong networking knowledge and a willingness to travel are encouraged to apply.

Travel Requirements

Based in Batam.

Willing to travel domestically and occasionally internationally for project implementation and customer support activities.
