Job summary

Save the Children Indonesia is seeking a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Coordinator to provide technical support to a group of MHPSS volunteers in Alexandria, ensuring high-quality activity implementation. The role includes planning with the team, participating in assessments, delivering training, and conducting regular field monitoring, while handling administrative tasks for the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in MHPSS program interventions and implementation with a reputable humanitarian NGO operating in Egypt.
• Preferable university degree in Psychology or another related field.
• Experience in trainings with refugee/marginalized communities is a must.
• Familiar with psychological support programs for non-specialists and ART/HEART concepts.
• Experience in documentation and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan the implementation of psychosocial support activities with a clear timeline and high-quality standards.
• Provide ongoing technical and supervisory support to teachers and volunteers to ensure quality of psychosocial sessions.
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits to ensure context-appropriate, child-centered implementation.
• Coordinate with educational initiative managers to organize and facilitate psychosocial activities.
• Oversee administrative responsibilities for the MHPSS team including work schedules and session documentation.
• Lead logistical aspects of the MHPSS component including planning purchases and coordinating with admin and finance teams.
• Contribute to MEAL plan follow-up and timely documentation of indicators.
• Develop emergency response and MHPSS intervention plans for crises affecting children.
