Job summary

Dwimitra Listenlights is seeking an MEP Drafter to develop and update detailed MEP drawings for construction projects, covering HVAC, piping, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will coordinate with architectural and structural teams to ensure drawings are accurate and clash-free.

The role requires strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to project deadlines. Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Revit/BIM are preferred, with data centers or large-scale

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering relevant to drafting.
• Proven experience as an MEP Drafter in construction or engineering projects.
• Experience with Data Center or large-scale MEP projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is advantageous.
• Ability to read drawings and coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop MEP drawings including layout plans and shop drawings.
• Review design drawings and specs to ensure accurate drafting.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Revise drawings based on engineering changes and site conditions.

Role Description

The MEP Drafter will be responsible for preparing, developing, and updating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings for construction projects. This role ensures that MEP drawings are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with approved designs, technical specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements.

Job Description

• Prepare and develop MEP drawings, including layout plans, shop drawings, detailed drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Produce drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, including HVAC, ventilation, piping, drainage, MV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, grounding, lighting, and plumbing systems.
• Review design drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate drafting and detailing.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other discipline drawings to identify and resolve clashes or discrepancies.
• Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes, site conditions, consultant comments, and project requirements.
• Assist engineers and project teams in preparing shop drawings, coordination drawings, and construction documentation.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on approved site changes and actual installation conditions.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design documents, drafting standards, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders regarding drawing requirements and revisions.
• Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, revision histories, and drawing records.
• Support the project team in resolving technical and drawing-related issues during construction.
• Ensure all drawings are completed accurately and submitted according to project schedules and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as an MEP Drafter within construction, MEP contracting, or engineering projects.
• Experience in Data Center or large-scale MEP projects is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Good understanding of MEP systems, construction drawings, shop drawings, and drafting standards.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings.
• Good understanding of drawing coordination and clash detection.
• Ability to work under project deadlines and manage multiple drawing revisions.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is preferred.
