Job summary

PT Mortar Prakarsa Utama is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Leader to manage preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance across two mortar plants. You will drive reliability, efficiency, and safety of MEI systems, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components and key equipment like silos, mixers, and conveyors.

The role requires a strong background in engineering maintenance, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Purchasing, and HSE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or related discipline.
• 5 years in maintenance in manufacturing; 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong mechanical systems knowledge (gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic/hydraulic, welding).
• Strong electrical knowledge (high- and low-voltage systems).
• Automation and instrumentation proficiency (PLC, sensors).
• Proven leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for two mortar plants.
• Ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety of MEI systems.
• Oversee operation of key equipment: silos, dosing/ weighing, mixers, packing machines, conveyors, dust collectors, pneumatic systems.
• Maintain electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems incl. panels, motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, load cells.
• Develop and update SOPs/Work Instructions; ensure HSE/K3 and LOTO compliance.
• Supervise daily maintenance, breakdown repairs, and modification projects.
• Plan spare parts and consumables; set stock levels and reorder points.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules; oversee shutdowns.
• Manage maintenance manpower and resources; lead toolbox meetings.
• Conduct RCA for major breakdowns; implement preventive actions.
• Monitor MTBF, MTTR, and OEE; report to management.
• Evaluate vendors and contractors; coordinate with Production, Purchasing, HSE.

We're currently hiring for PT Mortar Prakarsa Utama; a joint venture company engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of ready-mix mortar and other construction materials.

Key Roles:

• Lead and supervise preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for two (2) Mortar Plants.
• Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation (MEI) systems.
• Ensure the proper operation of key equipment, including silos, dosing and weighing systems, mixers, packing machines, conveyors, dust collectors, and pneumatic systems.
• Ensure proper maintenance and performance of electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems, including panels, motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and load cells.
• Develop and update SOPs and Work Instructions for maintenance activities and ensure all activities are in compliance with HSE/K3 and LOTO standards.
• Supervise daily maintenance, breakdown repairs, and modification projects in the field.
• Plan and manage critical spare parts and consumables to minimize downtime.
• Set appropriate minimum stock levels and reorder points for maintenance spare parts.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules, including overhaul and shutdown activities.
• Manage maintenance manpower and resources to ensure timely completion of work.
• Lead toolbox meetings before maintenance activities.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major equipment breakdowns and implement preventive actions.
• Monitor and report MTBF, MTTR, and OEE to management.
• Manage and evaluate vendors and contractors involved in maintenance and calibration activities.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, HSE, and other departments to support smooth plant operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance within the manufacturing industry/minimum 2-3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory position.
• Mechanical Systems: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and welding.
• Electrical Systems: Strong knowledge of both high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Automation & Instrumentation: Proficient in automation and instrumentation systems, including PLC, weight hopper calibration, and sensor systems.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly Production and Purchasing.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
