Job summary

PT Merauke Sugar Group seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to lead mechanical and electrical upkeep in our plant. The role requires hands-on experience with rotating equipment, drives, and control systems, ensuring reliability and safe operations.

Candidate must have a D3/S1 in engineering, 3–5 years in manufacturing, and be willing to relocate to Merauke for site work and potential overseas training. English fluency is required, with ability to work in shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3) / Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a plant, manufacturing, or mills environment with hands-on maintenance.
• Strong understanding of industrial systems and equipment: mechanical and electrical.
• Proven ability to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with maintenance and reliability strategies (PM, PdM; RCA advantageous).
• Good understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards in industrial settings.
• Proficient in using technical instruments (e.g., multimeter, vibration tester).
• Experience working with production targets and downtime control.
• Willing to relocate to Merauke site; willing to overseas training with bonding agreement.
• Required language: English.
• Willing to work in shift schedules in a plant environment.

At least 3–5 years of experience in a plant, manufacturing, or mills environment with hands on experience

Strong understanding of industrial systems and equipment, including:

Mechanical: rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, conveyors), gearboxes, bearings, lubrication systems

Electrical: distribution panels, electric motors, inverters/VFDs, basic PLC systems

Proven ability to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for mechanical and electrical systems

Able to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams

Familiar with maintenance and reliability strategies (PM, PdM, RCA is an advantage)

Good understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards in industrial settings

Proficient in using technical instruments (e.g., multimeter, vibration tester)

Experience working with production targets and downtime control

Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Willing to work in shift schedules and be based in a plant environment

Willing to overseas training with company bonding agreement
