Job summary

A prominent pulp and paper company in Indonesia seeks a Mechanical Engineer to develop designs, conduct analysis, and manage engineering projects. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, have experience with CAD tools, and excel in project management, including budgeting and documentation. Experience in pulp and paper mills is preferred. This on-site role is based in Palembang, South Sumatra, and requires strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in EPC projects of pulp & paper mills is preferable.
• Experience in troubleshooting, inspection, commissioning & installation is an advantage.
• Experience as a Mechanical Fire Fighting Engineer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for mechanical components and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Conduct structural and thermal analysis to ensure the integrity and performance of mechanical designs.
• Manage projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Preferably experience in EPC project of pulp & paper mills.
• On site experience in troubleshooting, inspection, commissioning & installation is an advantage.
• Able to use design tools such as AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Having experience as a Mechanical Fire Fighting Engineer is a plus.
• Able to communicate in English, both for oral and written.
• Able to work in team and individual.
• Working Location: OKI, Sumatera Selatan.
