Job summary

PT Merauke Sugar Group is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical maintenance across the plantation plant. You will develop annual PM/PdM schedules, manage budgets and supervise a team of technicians to ensure reliable power supply.

Based at Merauke, you will apply your expertise in electrical systems, power distribution, motor control and automation, while ensuring compliance with Indonesian standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 8–10 years in Electrical, preferably plantation and/or sugar processing environments.
• Expert knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, motor control and industrial automation.
• Experience in maintenance planning, preventative maintenance programs and equipment troubleshooting.
• Leadership, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork.
• Knowledge of Indonesian electrical standards and regulations (advantageous).
• Willingness to work at the Merauke site (non-roster).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual maintenance schedules for PM, PdM and overhauls across the plant.
• Prepare and control the maintenance operational budget (OPEX and CAPEX).
• Supervise the operation of Steam Turbine Generators and Diesel Generator sets to ensure stable power supply.
• Lead, direct and develop the technical competencies of Supervisors, Foremen, Technicians, Welders and Fitters.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance activities comply with OHS standards, including LOTO and permits.
• Manage transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers and sub-distribution panels.
• Take responsibility for PLC and DCS systems to control the entire production process.

Job description

Develop and manage annual schedules for Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and machinery overhauls across the plant.

Prepare and control the machinery maintenance operational budget based on OPEX and CAPEX requirements.

Supervise the operation of Steam Turbine Generators and Diesel Generator sets to ensure a stable and adequate power supply across all stations.

Lead, direct and develop the technical competencies of Supervisors, Foremen, Technicians, Welders and Fitters.

Ensure all repair and maintenance activities comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards, including LOTO, confined space/hot work permits and pressure vessel safety requirements.

Manage transformators, switchgear, circuit breakers (ACB/MCCB) and sub-distribution panels from medium-voltage to low-voltage systems.

Take responsibility for the plant’s centralized control system, ensuring PLC and DCS systems operate accurately and reliably to control the entire production process.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum 8 - 10 years of professional experience in Electrical, preferably from plantation and/or sugar processing environments.

Expert knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, motor control and industrial automation (sugar processing).

Experience in maintenance planning, preventative maintenance programms and equipment troubleshooting.

Perform leadership spirit, excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of Indonesian electrical standards and regulations (advantageous).

Willingness to work at the Merauke site (non-roster).
