Busana Apparel Group in Indonesia seeks an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead industrial and manufacturing projects from concept through handover. The role requires a civil/mechanical/electrical engineering background and a strong track record in managing multidisciplinary teams.

You will handle planning, budgeting, supplier coordination, risk control, and ensure compliance with HSE and government regulations while delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines).
  • 10–15 years of experience managing industrial, engineering, construction, or manufacturing projects.
  • Experience with greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping).
  • Strong project management knowledge: planning, scheduling, budgeting, resources, risk, cost control.
  • Experience with contractors, consultants, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  • Familiar with HSE, environmental, and government regulations.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Willing to be placed at Sukoharjo, Central Java.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resources and milestones.
  • Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and technical requirements with stakeholders.
  • Lead projects from concept to handover including design, construction, commissioning.
  • Review designs, drawings, specs for compliance.
  • Coordinate feasibility studies, site evaluations, risk assessments.
  • Manage multidisciplinary activities across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping.
  • Supervise construction, ensure quality, safety, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, vendors throughout execution.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to management.

Job description

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant Engineering disciplines.

Minimum 10–15 years of experience in managing industrial, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or manufacturing projects.

Proven experience in managing greenfield and brownfield industrial projects.

Proven experience in managing projects from concept and feasibility stages through engineering design, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover.

Strong experience in managing and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and activities, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping, and other related disciplines.

Strong knowledge of project management principles, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, risk management, and cost control.

Experience in managing contractors, consultants, vendors, and other external stakeholders.

Strong understanding of engineering design, construction processes, technical specifications, and quality standards.

Familiar with applicable HSE, environmental, and government regulations related to industrial and construction projects.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.

Proficient in project planning and reporting tools; familiarity with AutoCAD and project management software is an advantage.

Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Willing to be placement at Sukoharjo, Central Java

Job Descriptions :

Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and project milestones.

Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and technical requirements in alignment with business needs and project stakeholders.

Lead and manage projects from concept, feasibility study, and design through construction, installation, commissioning, and final handover.

Review engineering designs, drawings, technical specifications, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Coordinate feasibility studies, site evaluations, technical assessments, and project risk assessments.

Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and other related disciplines.

Supervise and monitor construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, safety requirements, budgets, and project schedules.

Coordinate and manage contractors, consultants, vendors, and other external parties throughout project execution.

Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, delays, technical issues, and cost overruns, and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Resolve technical, engineering, construction, and operational issues during project execution.

Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Utility, Maintenance, HSE, Procurement, Finance, and other relevant departments.

Ensure project timelines and deliverables are achieved in accordance with business requirements and approved project plans.

Manage project costs and budgets, including monitoring expenditures and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure all project activities comply with applicable HSE, environmental, government, and company requirements.

Prepare and present regular project progress reports, including updates on timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and key milestones, to management and relevant stakeholders.

And finally, in 2017 Busana Apparel Group start the expansion overseas by opening our newest factory in Ethiopia.

Right now, Busana Apparel Group has more than 50 million pieces of production capability annually from 9 production locations that produced in 30 factories through the hands of 30.000 experienced worker.

Along the way, we are also continuing our efforts to be an energy efficient company by saving 60% of our energy usage on lighting, 50% energy saving through servo motors, 32% steam system optimization, and more than 25,000 trees planted on our sites. We even have the highest score LEED certified green building to ensure our sustainability program running simultaneously with our business target.
