Job summary

Grab is looking for a Marketplace Assistant Manager (Mobility) in Jakarta, Indonesia. You will blend analytical rigor with business strategy to influence marketplace performance across Indonesia's mobility market and report to the Senior Manager.

You will work with cross-functional teams on pricing, incentives, and allocation to grow the platform's growth, profitability, and customer experience while being based onsite.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in strategy, analytics, project management, consulting or a tech environment.
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets with working knowledge of SQL or Python.
• Experience in managing defined projects with multiple teams from problem definition to implementation.
• Exposure to designing experiments and measuring outcomes of business initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; quantitative backgrounds are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage defined marketplace projects and workstreams to improve reliability and passenger experience.
• Monitor marketplace performance and collaborate with Product and Operations to identify causes and actions.
• Combine data with insights from passengers and partners to understand marketplace problems.
• Develop tactical recommendations and contribute to longer-term projects to improve availability and booking experience.
• Support experiments, including design, rollout, and results recommendations.
• Track implementation and outcomes, flag risks and coordinate follow-ups.

Get to Know the Team

The Group Marketplace team manages Grab's marketplaces across Southeast Asia. You will work with team members across multiple departments by marketplace levers such as pricing, incentives, and allocation. The team also generates business insights and proposes data-driven strategic plans to grow the business across both transport and deliveries.

We're looking for a Marketplace Assistant Manager (Mobility) to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. You'll combine analytical rigor with business strategy to influence stakeholders and guide marketplace performance across the Indonesia mobility market. This is an exciting opportunity to affect our platform's growth, profitability, and customer experience while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will directly report to the Senior Manager. The role will be based onsite.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Manage defined marketplace projects and workstreams to improve reliability and passenger experience across Indonesia's 2W and 4W mobility services.


• Monitor marketplace performance, investigate anomalies, and collaborate with Product, Operations, and other teams to identify potential causes and corrective actions.


• Combine data analysis with insights from passengers, driver-partners, and operating teams to develop a practical understanding of marketplace problems.


• Develop tactical recommendations and contribute to longer-term projects that improve availability, booking experience, service quality, and overall marketplace health.


• Support and build experiments, including hypothesis development, experiment design, rollout coordination, results recommendations.


• Track project implementation and results, flagging risks or issues and coordinating follow-up actions with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in strategy, analytics, project management, consulting, product operations, or a technology-related environment.


• Strong proficiency in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) or Google Sheets, with working knowledge of SQL, Python, or another analytical tool.


• Experience in managing defined projects or workstreams involving multiple teams, from problem definition through implementation and evaluation.


• Exposure to designing experiments, measuring results, or evaluating the impact of business initiatives.


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Quantitative, business, economics, engineering, or related backgrounds are advantageous.


• Experience in ride-hailing, marketplaces, logistics, e-commerce, travel, or another technology environment is advantageous but not required.
